The Places We Love

Here you can find our opinion about different places around the country — places to visit, restaurants we recommend, and hotels we suggest staying at — all to help you find the ones that best suit your preferences and needs.

(and Think You Will Too)

Antigua Guatemala

Antigua might not be a huge city, but it’s packed with things to see and do. That’s actually part of the problem—since it’s small, a lot of people don’t really know where to start. If you ask me, the best way to kick off your trip is by picking a hotel with nice amenities that won’t break the bank. Everyone travels differently, of course, but the real charm of Antigua is being out and about, exploring the city. So honestly, I wouldn’t go for a fancy 5-star hotel unless that’s your thing. If your goal is to enjoy the vibe, the sights, and the culture, you’ll want to spend most of your time out in the city anyway.

In many ways, Antigua is a super diverse city — but when it comes to food, it’s on another level. No matter what you’re in the mood for, chances are you’ll find it here. That said, we definitely have our favorite spots — the ones that never disappoint.

Lago Atitlan
